Item El agua como recurso de proyecto, 3 casos de estudio del arquitecto Rogelio Salmona (1995-2008)(2019-04-17) Andrade Arias, Wilson Xavier; Ramos Monori, Jeimis LeonardoThe purpose of this research is to expose the different formal-functional attributes of the water used as a project resource, for this purpose, this element and its characteristics will be defined and classified according to its forms and its encounter with man. It will also explore different manifestations that have occurred throughout history, all this with a focus on architecture.On the other hand, we will approach Modern Architecture and its principles, I will briefly identify with personal criteria, which have been the most explicit examples throughout history, prioritizing meticulously in the modern era of architecture and taking examples of catalog that evidences the use and importance of the water linked to the project. Finally, architect Rogelio Salamea will be taken as a reference for study, for which it has been considered to carry out a process of analysis and documentation of this architectural element (water) in the definition of the spaces of different emblematic works selected by the author, through of the architectural reconstruction, the possible approaches, proportions, design criteria and the different relationships that this element provides in the work and its immediate landscape will be interpreted.Item Consumo sustentable de agua en viviendas de la ciudad de Cuenca(2018-07-02) Molina Castro, Eduardo Xavier; Orellana Valdez, Diana AlejandraThis study proposes and supports the application of 4 criteria for the sustainable management of drinking water within the home in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, defining and assessing three levels for each criterion: standard, best practices and superior practices. The control of the maximum consumption, the control of water consumption and leaks, the use of saving devices and rainwater reuse systems are the 4 criteria, the result of a larger research project titled: Method of Certification of Sustainable Construction household. The results presented here are obtained through the application of surveys to probe the existence of drinking water saving practices and the predisposition of the population to incorporate these strategies, measurements of water consumption by uses in 10 homes for a week, processing of official information on water consumption in the canton of Cuenca facilitated by ETAPA, and the analysis of secondary sources of several standards: ISO, INEC and the Ecuadorian Technical Construction Standard, among others. Finally, a case study is presented to validate the proposal through the simulation of a home, with the objective of demonstrating the savings obtained.
