What this paper aims to examine it is how these spaces were formed on supports various activities that allow them traslucir through a rich heritage that is not only Spanish, but also Muslim and indigenous.Item El origen de la ciudad cuadricular hispanoamericana en las nuevas pueblas del bajo medievo español(Universidad de Cuenca, 2017) Tomás Medina, Carmen deThe objective of this work is to identify the urban foundations from which the Hispano-American city was built in the repopulation processes that took place during the Christian Reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula. The investigation begins in the reign of Alfonso X El sio and it goes until the time of the discovery in a route in which the union between history and urbanism is indissoluble. The crucial moment of this historical journey is precisely its origin, the reign of Alfonso X El Sabio, because in it the urban pattern that will lay the foundations of the future Spanish city in America is discovered. The grid reappears as an urban trace.
