    This children's or illustrated album has been prepared to protect our popular stories as a collective and heritage identity. It is an illustrative collection of myths and legends that are little known and, by the way, even unpublished. They are stories belonging to rural sectors and localities of the Cuenca canton. Cenizas del Olvido (Ashes of Oblivion) is the artistic work and investigative result of myths and legends from different perspectives: oral expression, literary and artistic expression and its educational context. During the investigation, it was possible to identify different causalities that have lasted to the present day in terms of cultural protection. And in the same way, ways in which the children's album could be applied, in favor of education with didactic potential.
