    El emprendimiento social artesanal en la provincia del Azuay. Estudio del caso “cooperativa de producción artesanal tejemujeres”, utilizando el marco de análisis de desarrollo institucional (ADI).

    The institutional development of social enterprises is a fundamental element to uphold their sustainability, allowing organizations to design action plans to improve resources management and organizational structures. Therefore, this research purported to analyze social enterprises in the cottage industry from the Azuay province through a case study. The Institutional Development Analysis Framework (IDAF) was used in the case study, which contributed to acquire knowledge about the internal and external factors weakening the management processes, namely in the social enterprise “Tejemujeres”. It is a cooperative focused on production in the cottage industry. The framework helped researchers to disclose action plans in place to face the shortcomings of this enterprise. This research applied a methodology based on documental and qualitative analysis. First, a literature review was carried out selecting social enterprises and IDAF as key terms. Second, a case study methodology was applied using a plethora of information sources. As a result, the research found out that factors such as workforce, financial resources, public policies and precarious government support have been detrimental for the productiveness and commercial wellbeing of “Tejemujeres”.
