In the city of Cuenca, due to the large number of students who wish to enter the educational institutions of basic and medium level, the need is foreseen to improve the structural space in an integral way to offer students different alternatives according to the new needs of the students. society, designing structures with quality standards that contain all the necessary spaces for academic training. The Manuela Garaicoa School of Calderón currently has in its possession a property that, although it is moderately fulfilling its pedagogical and administrative functions that are developed in this institution, are scarcely functional, since due to the great number of years that the construction has saw the need to expand its infrastructure taking into account the constant wear that represents its daily use, so the redesign project focuses on the E1 block of the institution to create a model space that is modern, comfortable, efficient and pleasant, to meet the needs of students and faculty, providing an environment consistent with the quality standards required at the international level. The design takes great importance in the project because with this tool you can provide a space of comfort and interaction among students in the classrooms
