    It is intended to emphasize the two essential elements in the management of diarrhea which are rehydration therapy and continued feeding. Urges to educate caregivers, especially mothers and health personnel, in the prevention of future episodes of diarrhea. The basics of assessing diarrhea and the use of ORS and continued feeding in the treatment of diarrhea are reviewed. The proposal presents a series of steps to follow to treat a child with diarrhea in a health institution
