    Propuesta para la implementación de un centro de compostaje en la Comunidad Caligüiña, Cantón Pucará, Provincia del Azuay

    This technical degree Project proposes the implementation of a community composting center in the community of Caligüiña, belonging to the canton of Pucara in the province of Azuay. Composting has currently become an action to mitigate environmental pollution caused by the poor management of organic waste that is not well used and most of it ends up in landfills. For this reason, obtaining solid fertilizers from this biowaste provides an alternative for its use in agricultural activities carried out in the area of interest. For the proposal, biophysical and socio -economic studies of the inhabitants were carried out, obtaining favorable results that let to inter-institutional commitments and the establishment of technical parameters for the construction of a functional structure for the production of compost. As a result, a) the technical guide and b) the plans, the budget and the productive projection of 96 bags per year and a common portfolio of 576 dollars in that period were obtained, all for the benefit of the community.
