The following degree project entitled "Analysis and interpretation of the Sonatina Litoral by the composer David Díaz Loyola: Influence of Ecuadorian nationalism on musical thought", proposes an interpretative vision which has been performed on a clarinet and focused on the analysis of the structure of the aforementioned musical work. Therefore, factors related to dynamics and tempo - musical terms that are strongly linked to interpretative aesthetics - are discussed from the point of view of the performer. Initially, the work, as well as the musical thought of the composer David Díaz Loyola are contextualized. Then his nationalist influence is analyzed. His work is described from its form, structure, harmony and Ecuadorian rhythms - features that are present in Loyola's work as an identity imprint. The project continues with the execution of the musical work on clarinet and piano, to conclude with the interpretative analysis of it, thus providing a contribution that may be considered as a guide for future versions. The aesthetics and thinking of the composer are also analyzed. Therefore, the interpretation aims to approach a proposal that links the tools of creation and the instrumental performance.
