    Análisis del impacto económico generado por los Expats en la Planta Turística de la ciudad de Cuenca, período 2012 -2015

    The following research will be focused in the economic analysis of how Expats impact the tourist facilities in Cuenca between the years 2012 – 2015. To develop this investigative project we compare the registered and unregistered establishments that the Tourism Ministry of Ecuador publishes on their touristic cadaster. To complete this investigation was necessary practical work using surveys to several expats and specialists in the touristic field. Statistical data were obtained from the different new places inside the tourist facilities of Cuenca; those data were tabulated and compared. Some values showed that the tourist facilities of the city grew in a 4.05%, there are 61 new projects in the city that belong to the Expats that have decide to reside in Cuenca, 3 projects belong to the lodging area, 55 new places give their services in the food and drinks field, Just 1 place has appear in the touristic transportation area. Finally Cuenca has just 1 place that offers leisure and entertainment. Several places that used to offer their services in the historical district of the city have been affected for these new projects, their monthly incomes are affected and their weekly customer average decreases.
