Item Programa de preparación física para el equipo de fútbol americano de la Universidad de Cuenca 2017(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-02-01) Vintimilla Arce, Claudia Fernanda; Galarza Chalco, Homero Aníbal; Macas Torres, José RobertoAmerican soccer is a collective, strategic and contact sport, which requires a great physical condition from the athletes to meet the needs of the sport. Objective: to implement a physical preparation program that allows us to analyze the physical performance of American soccer players at the University of Cuenca. Methodology: the present study is descriptive and uses the direct method, to obtain the data presented, the Eurofit test battery was applied. At the beginning of the research, an initial test was used to measure the previous condition of each of the athletes to subsequently develop an ATR macrocycle with a duration of 11 weeks with a strict control of the dosage in each of the training sessions. Once the macrocycle was completed, the final test was applied to assess the impact of the program implemented to each of the 26 American soccer players aged between 20 and 31 years old. Results: two test batteries were used, an initial and a final one. In the initial test we diagnosed the initial physical condition of the athletes, while in the final test applied after the end of the training program, which was structured with an ATR macrocycle adapted to American soccer, we were able to verify the improvement of the athletes' physical condition and to determine the viability of the program, which in this case proved to be effective. Conclusion: after the end of the program, we evidenced a remarkable improvement in the physical conditions of the American soccer players of the University, we emphasize that the organization and the correct planning of the physical preparation potentiates the achievement of the proposed objectives, it is worth highlighting the effort and responsibility of the athletes as a main precursor of achievements.
