El remate de los edificios en altura en Cuenca. Normativa, proyecto y construcción
(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-01-28) Villavicencio Brito, Paul Esteban; Durán Aguilar, Edgar Javier
Historically the way to build the architectural crown has been diverse, however, in modern architecture with the five precepts of Le Corbusier, the way to build the crowns changed radically. He proposed the terraces and the architectural crowns horizontally, also with the new construction systems and materials there were examples of designers and projects that portrayed these criteria in an exceptional way. In Cuenca there are some samples of this architectural movement which has persisted and currently some buildings in the city built with similar insight of this architecture, nevertheless, some of these buildings have taken advantage of the regulations to build constructions with attics in order to build the last centimeter of construction, generating buildings lacking of order and formality. This research aims to determine with the current ordinance, the best way to achieve much more functional, morphological and formal results for buildings and thus generate homogeneity in the urban landscape. As well, it is to generate recommendations and guidelines to improve the current ordinance in order to present more specificity and rigor when applying the regulations.
