    Factores asociados a depresión, ansiedad, y estrés en estudiantes de noveno y décimo ciclo de la Carrera de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Cuenca en el periodo marzo julio del año 2022

    ABSTRACT: The WHO has conceptualized mental health as: a state of mental wellness which allows people to confront moments of stress in life, develop all their abilities, be able to learn and work adequately and contribute to the improvement of their community. depression is one of the most frequent problems and affects over 300 million people around the world. The current study addresses depression, anxiety and stress in students of architecture career. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To identify levels of depression, anxiety and stress, and related factors in Senior year students of the Faculty of Architecture in University of Cuenca in the March-July 2022 period. MATERIALS AND METHODS: An observational analytical transversal study was conducted with senior year students of Architecture in University of Cuenca. From a group of 121 a sample of 105 was obtained which was reduced to 95 for not fulfilling inclusion criteria. DASS 21 scale was used which was elaborated in Kobotoolbox. Data analysis was made through Epi info y Epi data. The results were expressed by association of statistics: Chi Cuadrado y Exacto de Fisher. RESULTS: 61,05 % of the participants presented depression, 74,74% anxiety and 66,32% stress. Provenance is attributed to a factor associated to stress (p de 0,022). CONCLUSSIONS: Mental health is a problem which affects students from the Architecture career. Depression, anxiety and stress submit in considerably worrying figures. Students previously diagnosed with the aforementioned pathologies were not included in this study (21.4%), making the problematic more evident.
