    The present study has as its main objective to analyze the relationship between parental parenting styles and the roles that students play in bullying situations at the Educational Unit. Bullying is a social phenomenon that negatively affects the well-being and academic performance of students, and its prevalence has increased in this institution, which has led to the need to involve parents in the search for solutions. Given that the family is the main socializing agent during childhood, it is considered that the parenting styles exercised at home can influence the behavior of children in the face of bullying, whether as aggressors, victims, or observers. The research is based on a quantitative approach and uses two questionnaires: the Parental Authority Questionnaire, which evaluates parenting styles (democratic, authoritarian, and permissive), and the Bullying Exploration Questionnaire, which identifies the role of students in school harassment situations. The sample included 154 students from fourth to seventh year of basic education, who met the consent and assent requirements to participate in the study. The preliminary results suggest that there is a significant relationship between parenting styles and roles in bullying.
