Item Prevalencia de lumbalgias asociadas a factores de riesgo ergonómicos en el profesional de enfermería del área asistencial del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, Cuenca, en el periodo julio - diciembre 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-11-30) Velecela Sumba, Diana Beatriz; Tapia Guzman, Erika Mercedes; Hidalgo Tapia, Esthela CarolinaIntroduction: Low back pain occurs in the lower part of the spine, characterized by recurrent pain, and nursing professionals are prone to develop it, as they are exposed to ergonomic risks due to the exercise of their profession, since their activities are based on the manipulation of objects and patients. Objective: To determine the prevalence of low back pain associated with ergonomic risks in the nursing professional of Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, Cuenca, in the period July - December 2022. Methodology: A quantitative study was carried out with a cross-sectional analytical design with a sample of 132 nursing professionals of Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital. The variables were: low back pain, gender, age, working day, hospital area, physical activity, body position, years of professional practice, working hours per week, manual handling of patients and materials. The statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS 23 program, considering p-values lower than <0.05 as statistically significant. Results: Of the 132 professionals, 90.2% had low back pain in the last 6 months. The associated factors were: age p value = 0,005, working day p value = 0.018, work area p value = 0.025, working hours per week p value = 0.005 and material handling p value = 0.025. Conclusions: low back pain in nursing professionals is frequent among those between 20 and 39 years of age, who work a rotating work shift, with a workload of more than 40 hours per week, in emergency and intensive care services, handling objects weighing more than 3 kg.
