The research addresses a juridical and criminological analysis of the social factors influencing the criminal responsibility of juvenile offenders in Ecuador. It focuses on the relationship between legal and criminological aspects, highlighting the interaction between social factors and the burden of criminal responsibility. The juridical analysis reviews the current legislation, especially in the juvenile justice system. From a criminological perspective, factors such as poverty, social exclusion, and family dynamics contributing to juvenile delinquency are investigated. Prevention and rehabilitation policies in Ecuador are examined, emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive approach that addresses the underlying causes of juvenile delinquency, not just the legal consequences.
