La obra del Arq René Bravo en Guayaquil: “escuela y colegio Normal Católico, y escuela San José.”(Universidad de Cuenca, 2016-11-11) Vega Jaramillo, Robinson Danilo; Samaniego Alvarado, Pedro JoséThe Modern Architecture, developed in South America, during the decades of the 50s to 70, they are undoubtedly an invaluable example of adaptation to our environment, an international style promulgated by the great European and American teachers, which was polished and decanted for the young architects of our continent. From the teachings of masters of both international architecture and local, as Le Corbusier, Felix Candela, William Cubillo, Alamiro González, René Denis, Xavier Quevedo, among others, the architectural work by Rene Bravo Espinoza emerged in the 60s in Guayaquil , Ecuador, and arises with ideas that allow to reinterpret and adapt the vernacular architecture of Guayaquil and bring it into line with modern architecture. The present cases of study in this document: Normal Catholic School and annexes school, and the school San Jose, allow us to discover, through the redraw and analysis, as the Architect is able to generate design criteria for these school buildings, They adapting to local territory, without losing sight of the principles of the modern movement.
