    Dinámica familiar y su influencia en el bajo rendimiento académico de los y las adolescentes de educación básica superior de la escuela Manuela Cañizares. Cuenca 2014-2015

    This research is an institutional need and aims to analyze the family dynamic that adolescents have higher basic education "Manuela Cañizares" School to assess its influence on the underachievement of them. It was a descriptive cross-sectional research; he had a mixed design which is used in combination qualitative and quantitative research methods to achieve the objectives. Using a non-probability sampling was selected from that universe, a sample of 23 students with poor academic performance and their families, to which he applied the techniques and instruments selected evaluation. The main results highlighted the most influential factors in the poor performance of adolescents are the type and characteristics of the family, conflicting family relationships, difficulties in how to deal with problems, poor family communication and limited family resources to address problematic situations. It is considered that the problems in family dynamics influence the academic performance of these students, especially those with a "not approved" during the school year. The study ended with a proposal for family intervention actions that aim to influence the improvement of the academic performance of adolescents from a family systems perspective.
