The bibliographic exploration allowed to identify the absence of investigations in the Ecuadorian territory, particularly in Azuay, that address the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and the problematic use of video games in adolescents; situation that constitutes a research gap that needs to be solved, since it opens the possibility that solutions are not proposed to possible disorders or addictions among young people. Faced with this reality, the present study proposed as a general objective: to correlate the problematic use of video games with the scores of the perceived intrapersonal EI dimensions, in adolescents from 14 to 16 years old, in the Educational Unit 26 de Febrero of the Paute canton, period 2022. For this, a quantitative approach methodology, correlational scope, non-experimental design and cross-sectional design was designed. The CERV and TMMS 24 instruments were appliedto a non-probabilistic sample, where 150 students who were in the 10th grade of Superior Basic General Education and the first and second years of high school participated, in the Educational Unit February 26 of the Paute canton. . The results processed in SPSS version 26, reflected a level of problematic use of 4.7% of the total participation. Regarding the EI dimensions, it was found that, in emotional attention, 50% have adequate attention; in emotional clarity, 62% should improve; while in emotional repair only 44% present an adequate level of emotional repair. Regarding the correlation of the variables studied, no significant correlation was found.

Valoración del desarrollo armónico en niños de 0 a 5 años en el cantón Paute
(2018) Vanegas Jara, Adriana Renata; Machuca Carpio, Ana Gabriela; Muñoz Pauta, Marco Antonio
Human development, the scientific branch of psychology, focuses its attention on knowing the extent of changes that human beings undergo throughout the life cycle. The proposal of measurement tools for the evolutionary process where the normative and the non-normative in the development process is identified is continuous. From the measurement, it will be possible to carry out an intervention that consists of enhancing or leveling the functions according to the milestones of development corresponding to the ages of the individuals. The objective of the present study is to describe the harmonic development in children from 0 to 5 years old in the Paute canton, from the Harmonic Development Scale proposed by Javier Abellán (2011), an instrument that evaluates the quality, harmony of the evolution of the child and could predict future development. The study population was 77 caregivers of children attending public child care centers in the Paute canton. The harmony index registered in the research ranged from 0 to 98, with 30 children maintaining the index within the normal parameters and 47 participants who had an index below the accepted margin. This research concludes that the development of the boys and girls of the mentioned canton is above the chronological age, which is called a superdevelopment (development more than normal), however, this development is unbalanced since the Index of Harmony is shown below the accepted limit.
