    This paper aims to present the contributions of different authors for understanding the relationship between self-esteem and school performance, because it has been a number of questions regarding the relationship in which self-esteem has been considered one of the causes for the achievement of low achievement in schools, so it has been necessary to explain the importance of developing self-esteem in people and especially in children because childhood depend cultivating their self-esteem in later years. The importance of developing high self-esteem to promote security and confidence in the students and as a low level of self-doubts his abilities will also be explained.
