    Propuesta metodológica para la evaluación y gestión del paisaje en el marco de los planes de desarrollo y ordenamiento territorial cantonales. El caso del cantón Loja

    The landscape understood as a fundamental aspect of the population´s quality life and as territorial resource, in the last years at the international and regional context has acquired relevance through the formulation of strategies and guidelines of the public policies of protection, management and territorial planning. In Ecuador, the thematic tends to relate to the environment and the resources of natural value neglecting the value, maintenance, and management of the daily landscapes or those in which the life of the population is developed. With those antecedents, the objective of the present research is to propose guidelines and cartographic supports that facilitate the study and insertion of the landscape resource in the processes of territorial planning and particularly in the elaboration of the corresponding Development and Territorial Plans in the Cantonal scalethrough the phases: Diagnostic, Approach and Management Model; all within the framework of guidelines issued by National Secretary of Planning al Development (SENPLADES) for its formulation. In order to apply the methodological proposal, the Canton Loja is taken as a case studyfor the diversity and quality of theirlandscapes. The methods and results described by the application provides important tools and reflections to deal the study, evaluation and landscape planning, that is to say; its integral management that has repercussions in the improvement of the quality of life and well-being of the human beings.
