    The purpose of this thesis is studying of hydraulic Flushing into the Hydroelectric Project Minas – San Francisco, through the experimental study on a reduced scale physical model (1/60). In order to know the efficiency of the bottom outlets were conducted several trials, which were aimed at sediment flushing processes in the reservoir, for which different considerations were raised in terms of the height of sediment in the reservoir, the used flushing flow and the influence of the flashboard. In all flushing tests were simulated three stages of operation of the gates of the bottom outlets. We performed a qualitative analysis of tests, and also comparisons of the volumes of sediment flushed from land surveys made after the end of each test. The performance of sediment flushing processes has not been suitable, since it was not possible to do an efficient flushing process on the right bank around the zone of the intake, so it is necessary to implement other alternatives to improve the flushing process.
