The objective of the research is to identify the experiences of teachers of initial and preparatory education when addressing comprehensive sex education, for which we work with a qualitative approach that allows us to know the experiences that teachers have when dealing with Comprehensive Sex Education (ESI) in early childhood. Likewise, it is based on a selection and compilation of information through the critical reading and analysis of documents and other bibliographic resources to relate the reference categories such as sex education in early childhood and the perspectives that teachers have. To obtain the data, a semi-structured interview was applied to teachers of initial and preparatory of different educational institutions of the canton Cuenca with at least 3 years of professional experience. Also, an investigation and compilation of research and projects that are used to address sex education in early childhood is carried out. Likewise, an investigation and compilation of investigations and projects that are used to address sexual education in early childhood is carried out. The results show that the teachers of the initial and high school level are mostly prepared to deal with issues related to ESI; however, they find several obstacles such as the lack of specific content within the curriculum to work with students; the little collaboration of the parents and also of the authorities of the educational institutions; All of this leads to boys and girls not having a real knowledge of their body and its functioning, having to learn it in a distorted way by other means, and it can be a cause for them to be victims of sexual abuse.
