Item Evaluación del sistema de agua potable Monjas – Gordeleg, parroquia Zhidmad, cantón Gualaceo, provincia del Azuay(2017) Ulloa Supliguicha, Santiago Fernando; Idrovo Murillo, Diego BenjamínThe project corresponds to the evaluation of the Monjas – Gordeleg drinkable water system, located in the Zhidmad parish of the Gualaceo canton; supplies the communities of Monjas, Gordeleg, Bellavista and Chilla. The sources of raw water are the outcrops Tari, Danzacocha and Achupilla, located in the upper part of the Protector Aguarongo forest. The system has four PVC conduction pipes, treatment plant, three reserve tanks and integrated distribution networks with 37 pressure-breaking tanks and 9 air valves. The treatment plant has an aerator in cascades, two slow descending filters, chlorine contact chamber for disinfection. The evaluation includes the general characterization of the communities, physical - health assessment of the structures of the system, analysis of consumption recorded in twelve months, hydraulic analysis of pipelines and distribution networks, Analysis of the quality of raw and drinking water in summer and winter. Based on the information collected in the field it was found that physically all of the structures are in good condition, certain iron fittings externally exhibit oxidation but do not affect the operation of the system. The hydraulic simulation was performed in Epanet by means of the permanent regime (static analysis). The quality of the water in summer is different to the period of winter the physical parameters show the greater deterioration signs, due to anthropic actions.
