The nurse at times takes medication administration as a routine and mechanical act without applying principles of biosecurity, plus the knowledge we have are deficient especially in the handling of antibiotics due to their complexity in preparation. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To determine the knowledge of nurses in the pharmacotherapeutic safety of antibiotics in the areas of clinical, surgical and hospital emergency Homer Castanier Crespo. METHODOLOGY AND TECHNIQUE: This is a quantitative, descriptive which assesses the application of the knowledge they have nurses in the pharmacotherapeutic safety of antibiotics. RESULTS: Data obtained on the level of expertise available to nurses in the pharmacotherapeutic safety of antibiotics in the areas of clinical, surgical and emergency Castanier Crespo Homero Hospital reported that 66.7% of nurses have an average level of knowledge and 33.3% do not have knowledge which shows an routinization in the practice of medication administration. The Valle Health Sub-Center, Cuenca 2013. Methodology: Quantitative Research type conducted in a sample of 64 women who are breastfeeding in the Valle, information on demographic and biological, economic, social and psychological factors that might hinder the collected exclusive breastfeeding over data from children, the same as they were collected based on a structured with the help of a form to collect information after obtaining the informed consent interview, the data were entered in Excel and tabulated in frequency tables. Results: We found that in the total study population was 53.1% multiparous , the alteration in the mammary gland was the most common low milk production that was presented by 53.1 % , in making reference to diet , most foods are consumed in normal amounts , and in terms of frequency : eggs 65.6 %, butter by 34.4 %, 71.9 % bread and biscuits ; 68.8 % milk , 71.9 % meat , rice 71.9 %, 84.4 % pure water, tea and beans 29.7 % 48.4 % 1.6% (1 case ) of the gonorrhea population was presented . The mean age 25.72 years started with a standard deviation of 6.65 years. The school was the most frequent complete secondary with 35.9 % of the population, in 70.3 % of cases the women were from the urban area, 56.3% of the population had the QQDD as occupation. 32.8 % have monthly income between 200-300 dollars and 50% of the population was married. Drug abuse was zero in most cases, was detected only 4.7% of alcohol. The difficulty grasping the nipple was present in 21.9 % of cases, but one of the main situations was the yellowing of the skin and eyes with 60.9 %, vomiting sparingly after each power was present in 21.9 %. 1.6% of children had cleft lip and no child present milk intolerance. Conclusions: Breastfeeding is one of the best practices for the child and for the mother, the factors that hinder this practice are varied but can be controlled in favor of good nutrition to children. Objective: To determine the biosecurity measures in the Expanded Immunization Program implemented by the nursing staff in the Health Area No. 4 of the city of Cuenca. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study, the study population being nurses, nursing assistants and internal working in the health Area No. 4; a sample of 28 workers was taken, the level of knowledge assessed by questionnaire and compliance with biosecurity measures as an observation guide. Results: The nursing staff working in the area of health N 4 in the area of vaccination had a higher level of knowledge (73.6%), both nurses, nursing assistants and internal. With regard to compliance with biosecurity measures could show that 71.1% biosecurity measures applied correctly, while 28% do not apply. Conclusions: With respect to nurses can conclude that mostly corresponds to a young group, with a time of less than two years work and high academic standards, as evidenced in the application forms of knowledge, as the application of biosecurity measures in the Expanded Immunization Program, through observation it was found that a significant percentage not correctly applied, there is no relationship between knowledge and application. "According to the International Labour Organisation in 2011 it reports that about 337 million people are victims of occupational accidents and diseases each year" (2). Objective: To identify the biosecurity measures applied by nurses in the operating room of the Hospital "Castanier Crespo Homero" in Azogues, from June to November 2015. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study, the universe has a total of 26 people of which 6 are licensed nurses and 20 nursing assistants, of which part 24. The sample is 100% of the universe. For removal of data previously validated surveys were used: (Esq R. Lopez, Esq M. Lopez in the Tarapoto-Peru 2012 MINSA II-2 Hospital). For two months in the surgical center, the analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics, through the SPSS version 15.0, Excel and Word. Results: Of the 24 professionals and nursing assistants HHCC surgical center during June to November 2015, in the level of knowledge in 87.5% (21) have a degree of knowledge regularly and 12.5% (3) good knowledge. Facultad de Ciencias Médicas, 2017-04) Reinoso Carrasco, Julieta del Carmen; Torres Navas, Susana RaquelOBJECTIVE: To determinate the prevalence of self-medication in students of the University of Cuenca. 2015 METHODOLOGY: A cross-sectional, retrospective study was conducted between March and July 2015. The universe was formed by 13,860 students (6,031 men and 7,829 women) and a sample of 397 students (212 women and 185 men, between 17-31 years). The instrument used was an anonymous survey previously validated. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with Excel 2010 programs. RESULTS: The tendency of the frequency for self-medication of painkillers is greater regard to antibiotics, with the increased consumption and effectiveness of ibuprofen and amoxicillin respectively. The main reasons for their consumption correspond to: recommendations from friends or family, trust in a previous treatment and recommendation at the pharmacy. The main hassles that are reported are itching and distress. In the case of painkillers and anxiety, in the case of antibiotics rash, nausea and diarrhea CONCLUSIONS: This study determines the need to promote education in the field of self-medication in students of the University of Cuenca improving their knowledgeItem Prevalencia de desórdenes emocionales relacionados con ansiedad en niños de la Escuela Cazadores de los Ríos Cuenca marzo – julio del 2016(2016) Duchi Guashambo, Gloria Verónica; Tenesaca Campoverde, María del Carmen; Cabrera Cárdenas, Carmen Lucía; Torres Navas, Susana RaquelAnxiety disorders (AD) are one of the most common psychiatric disorders in children as they are not treated at the right time, it could affect the behavior of the person, for this reason this was done investigation. Objective: To determine the prevalence of emotional disorders related to anxiety in older children 8 years in “Cazadores de los Rios” school, which is located in Cuenca city, during period from March to July 2016. Methodology: This research was descriptive quantitative type of cross section and the universe was made up of 130 students from 8 to 12 years who are enrolled in the educational institution. Material and Methods: The information was obtained by applying the test Screen for Child Anxiety Related Disorders (SCARED) CHILD, and a demographic survey. The data were analyzed in Microsoft Excel by performing frequency tables and percentages to describe the information found. Results: Predominate children 10 years old with 26.67%, female children with 56.30%, from urban with 77, 78%, urban residence with 52%. According to questionnaire scores separation anxiety was the highest with 28.34% of the total, followed by social anxiety disorder with 22.58% and panic disorder with 17.51%. Which they occurred less with school phobia were 15.90% and generalized anxiety disorder with 15.67%. Methods: this study is an analytic and transversal determination, that happened in the location Paccha of El Oro province, that consist in the interview of the familiar leader of 250 families. the analysis consist in the test "APGAR familiar" with the follow variables: familiar migration, parents unemployment, alcoholism, drugs consumption, mensual salary, family type and chronic disease. this study used the software SPSS version 21 to the statistical analysis. the data base was used for the media and standard deviation and for the association chi squared, other statistical calculates was the prevalence ration and p valor Results: the media of age of the familiar leader was 46,28 years whit a SD= 17,08 years, 61,2% was women; the media of number of integrants was 3,59 members, with a SD= 1,36. The 5,2% of the families had familiar disfunctionality. the prevalence of risk factors was: migration 16,4%: unemployment 21,2%; alcohol use 12,8%; drugs use 0,4%; mensual salary under one vital salary 38,4%; family type monoparental 4% and chronic disease 57,6%. chi squared between dysfunctionality and unemployment was 13,57 whit p valor=0,00; disfuntionality and alcohol use chi squared=13,66 with p valor= 0,00; disfuntionality and monoparental family chi squared=25,59 with a p valor=0,00; constituting itself in risks factors of familiar disfuntionality. In relation of this investigation we could show a low frequency of familiar disfunctionality buth associated with social economic factors can will modify with and intervention focus to reduce the exposition of this risks, the case or nursery that will be possible with prevention of chronic disease. Method and Materials The type of applied study was descriptive of prevalence of the low weight, overweight and obesity in children of the school. The universe was constituted by 351 children that belongs to the fiscal school “Youngest child Ramirez” I am realized the calculation obtaining a sample of 78 children and children. The used techniques went the interview to the parents of family of the students by means of the application of a form with their previous consent, in which were identity data of the boy or girl, data of economic entrance, labor activity, educative level of the parents, type of feeding of the family, access to the basic services, conditions of house, accesses to service of health. I carry out the control of weight and charts, soon for its analysis I am used the curves of the NCHS, calculation the Index of corporal mass formulates being applied it: weight in kg/displayed (cm2), table of Cronk you formulate, them of Nelson. Results The 24,32% of children presented/displayed undernourishment, 31,08% low weight, the 35,14% normal peso, the 4,06% overweight and the 5,40% obesity in relation to weight according to their age.
