    Análisis semántico de la leyenda urbana de Cuenca

    The present investigation has like general objective to develop a semantic analysis on the urban legend of the city of Cuenca. To achieve this goal, the global objectives have been established: define categories such as: urban, anthology, myth and legend, expose the history of the urban legend in the world, in Ecuador and in Cuenca; transcribe legends told from orality, as well as capture them in social networks and, finally, analyze semantically the themes present in each story. The interview has been used as an instrument for data collection; a virtual platform has also been created on Facebook, called Leyendas urbanas de Cuenca, which has 191 members. The results indicate that the most frequent topics in the urban legends that circulate in the city of Cuenca are: different forms of crime, organ trafficking, aspects related to the food industry and the field of health, mutants and subordinate characters.
