Item Condiciones sociales, culturalesy económicas de las madres adolescentes del departamento de ginecología y obstetricia en hospital de Loja “Isidro Ayora”, año 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-01) Torres Andino, Jhuliana Soledad; Sánchez Loja, Wilson FernandoIn Ecuador, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Census, 2022, more than 41,000 girls and adolescents, between 10 and 19 years old, become mothers every year, becoming a concern for society in general, which is why, the importance of the research lies in the fact that the impact of teenage pregnancies begins due to the conditions in which they have developed throughout their lives, which is determinant in the maternal psychosocial process. For all the above mentioned, the social, cultural and economic conditions of the family context of adolescent mothers in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the "Isidro Ayora" Hospital in the city of Loja, year 2022, were identified, since it is essential to take into account the context and the special characteristics of the family to understand the situation of the pregnant adolescent. For this reason, a mixed methodology was used for this research, with a phenomenological approach, descriptive in scope and with a sample of 35 pregnant adolescents, with whom the information was obtained through the characterization form, on the other hand, an interview was conducted with the social workers of the different health centers, in addition to the literature review that complements the information collected. The quantitative results obtained were processed using SPSS software and Excel, and the qualitative results were coded in the Atlas T.I. software, and finally, the results were analyzed and interpreted. Finally, categories were established to learn about the social, cultural and economic conditions of adolescent mothers, in addition, the support networks that adolescent mothers have to carry out their motherhood process and continue with their life project were specified. Finally, the intervention of the Social Work department with adolescent mothers was described, based on the protocols implemented by the Ministry of Public Health, the models, techniques and tools used and the follow-up, and finally, the limitations they have as professionals to carry out their intervention process.
