Item Memorias colectivas en la calle Rafael María Arízaga(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-04-13) Toledo Vintimilla, Rosa Narsisa; Eljuri Jaramillo, Rosana GabrielaBased on the application of the ethnographic method, the thesis Collective Memories of Rafael Maria Arízaga Street performs an analysis of a place of important historical connotation of the city of Cuenca. The memories of those who inhabit or inhabited the place are collected and recovered, investigating different perceptions on the imaginary of the neighborhood and the organization of the common space. A spatiotemporal location brings us closer and allows us to shape the collective memory of those who have lived, live and recreate the street, in relation to historical events, urbanarchitectonic milestones, meeting places, celebrations, commemorations, etc. These in turn, acting as devices of recovery, reflection and materialization, give structure to remembrances crystalized in projection-evocation of the memory. This research delves into the route of this street, trying to understand and demonstrate its relationship with the neighborhoods through in which it unfolds and the city of which it is part. Neighbors accounts broaden the narrative, enrich perception and bring meaning and projection over time.
