    Análisis sociolingüístico del lenguaje jurídico de los estudiantes de la Facultad de Jurisprudencia de la Universidad de Cuenca

    The current research had as objective to study the slang of the students of the Jurisprudence School of the University of Cuenca through the sociolinguistic analysis of meaning variations in juridical terms and its contextualization within communicative situations. Therefore, we used the ethnography method and qualitative description of the sociolinguistic phenomena we found. Also we collect a sample of forty interviews which led to the acquirement of one hundred twenty terms that constitutes our glossary. The direct participation in the field of our study facilitate the achievement of slang terms in which were clear that users interact with standard Spanish and with a big amount of lexical heritage that comes from juridical uses. Accordingly, this research shows that young students assume their specialized language endowing it with new meanings derived from external factors that respond to their communicative needs.
