    Estilo de vida de los comerciantes de verduras del mercado feria libre El Arenal, Cuenca, 2018

    Background: lifestyle is a way of life. In other words, a lifestyle consists in people’s attitude or daily behaviors defined by physical, social or work factors ruled by the individual itself and his or her surroundings. These attitude/behaviors can either be healthy or not. ¬¬¬ General objective: decide greengrocers’ lifestyle. Specifically, those who work at “El Arenal” Market in the free fair sector located in Cuenca City, during the present year, 2018. Method and material: it’s a descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional study. We worked with sixty greengrocers from "El Arenal" free fair. The instrument of Díaz, R; Márquez, E; Delgado, R 2008 was used to evaluate the lifestyle and the Socioeconomic Level Stratification Survey (Encuesta de estratificación del Nivel Socioeconómico or (INEC) in Spanish). The results are described in frequency and percentage tables; using programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, the statistical package SPSS version 22. Results: the lifestyle of the population studied was as follow: 100% of the participants eat three meals per day: breakfast, lunch and dinner; in physical activity, 87% perform daily activities that demands complete movement or use of their bodies; In stress management, 62% of the participants can identify situations that cause them stress or worry in their lives; in interpersonal support, 90% relate to others; in self-realization, 95% feel satisfied with what they have achieved in their lives; in health responsibility, 77% go at least once a year to a health facility for a medical review; in hygiene, 85% wash their hands before and after using the toilet; in recreation, 52% spend time with their families doing recreational activities; the socioeconomic level is at a moderately low average with 55%. Conclusion: 97% of the greengrocers at the free fair, El Arenal, enjoy a good lifestyle
