    The aim of the study was to determine whether the marketing influences the consumption of snuff, in respondents, random, different age group and sex of the city of Cuenca. The objective was to analyze the influence of marketing on the consumption of snuff in the city of Cuenca, identify the techniques used, the various media, employees, classifying the population by age, sex, smoking. It is a quantitative, descriptive study of social character. The data were obtained from surveys of the citizens of Cuenca. The universe were 300 respondents and distributed in different categories. 57corresponde them to male and female 43a. Most Catholic, marginal urban residence. The profession or occupation included: students, employees, professionals and others. Most people believe that advertising drives sometimes snuff consumption thereof, and feels no desire after seeing advertising snuff smoking. The data obtained show that the 76.66de respondents said that marketing influences in a direct way in the consumption of snuff. By linking this work to the relevant authorities the creation of laws against consumption of snuff marketing
