    Prevalencia de caries rampante en niños que asisten al centro de desarrollo infantil MIES Cuenca enero - julio 2015

    This study was conducted in the period January-July 2015 in children between 12 and 48 months old determine the characteristics of rampant caries. Child Study population belonged to the Child Development Centers MIES Basin: CIBV Maria Luisa Aguilar de Tenorio (90 children), CIBV Huayna Capac (100 children), and CIBV Santa Ana de los Rios (90 children). He classified the children into two groups; Children with cavities and tooth decay sin bottle-fed babies. Age, Gender, Socioeconomic Status, USO night bottle, plate index based on criteria of Loe and Silness and use of fluorinated agents, as a preventive treatment: study variables. The study revealed that Age range is 31- 48 months old baby bottle tooth decay exists in 48.8%, likewise did find Mayor percentage corresponding to the female gender. The existence of baby bottle tooth decay is also observed in 90.9% in children who received fluorinated agents as preventive treatment. The rampant caries or tooth decay known as early onset progressively affects one dental structures of the primary dentition of children infant and under a four year old. 227 Children para assess the prevalence of rampant caries were evaluated according to the criteria of ICDAS index and assessment of decay According to Seif. The tests will be carried out under natural light, and visual inspection of the oral cavity with non-invasive equipment
