Item El confort térmico en las edificaciones de arquitectura vernácula de la ciudad de Loja y Malacatos(2017-05-15) Tapia Chocho, Wilson Eduardo; Correa Jaramillo, Ramiro AlbertoThe objective of this study is to determine the influence of the sustainable characteristics of the vernacular architecture on the thermal comfort of its occupants, in two different bioclimatic scenarios: the city of Loja and Malacatos. The case studies are eight vernacular dwellings built on land, and a reference dwelling built in brick and concrete. Experimental measurements were carried out in its original place, in the interior and exterior of each house for a period of 50 days, and the occupants were given a survey of the thermal environment. In order to evaluate the thermal perception of the occupants, the methods based on the thermal balance of the ASHRAE-55 standard were used applying the procedures of the estimated Average Voting (PMV), Expected Percentage of Dissatisfaction (PPD), compared to the actual mean vote (AMV), or actual user perception. For the evaluation of the thermal performance of the dwellings, the adaptive model present in the graphic method of the mentioned norm was used, and for the evaluation of the passive strategies of thermal control, the Givoni psychrometric diagram was used. The results obtained in the thermal performance in the area of 80% of acceptance, was of 87.13% in the case of study in the city of Loja, and 88.06%, 99.77% and 99.78% in other cases in Malacatos. While in the 90% acceptance zone, only two case studies were found in the city of Malacatos, with outputs of 94.33% and 95.08%.
