    Propuesta de intervención y adaptación de espacios verdes en la Casa Hogar Cristo Rey

    The present degree work focuses on the reconditioning of the green spaces at Casa Hogar Cristo Rey, a center for elderly people located in the city of Cuenca. This architectural complex has significantly reduced its green areas and the state of the heritage property due to problems stemming from demographic growth and the disorganized development of its facilities. These factors have negatively impacted the quality, functionality, and aesthetics of the green spaces and the heritage property. Therefore, the thesis addresses this issue from three main axes: the conservation of the heritage property, the elderly, and nature. To develop a solid proposal, theoretical concepts, regulations, and case studies are examined to support the proposal. Additionally, the current problems of the home are analyzed from multiple perspectives, which has allowed for the establishment of design criteria for the intervention, integrating heritage aspects, the needs of the elderly, and the relationship with nature.
