Apoyo técnico y social a las mujeres de la asociación “Hatún Cóndor” para el mejoramiento de tejidos. Parroquia Susudel-Azuay, 2020-2021
(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-09-20) Suquisupa Loja, Mayra Catherine; Durán Oleas, Jenny Catalina
Historically, women have organized themselves in search of freedom and the empowerment of their role within a society in which men have always been the ones who have achieved labor and economic success, while women depended on the livelihood they could provide. One characteristic of the big cities is that women have the possibility of studying and working in public and private positions, exercising their own professions or starting a business, the situation of women living in rural areas is different. In the parish of Susudel, Canton Oña, province of Azuay, there is an association of weavers called "Hatún Cóndor". This association was created as an initiative so that women from the parish, most of whom work as housewives and also in agriculture, due to their low or non-existent level of schooling, can obtain their own economic income for themselves and their families. Through this research, it was found that these women have not been able to have their work considered as part of the production of handicrafts that strengthen the national economy and there are few similar associations that have achieved this recognition. The main causes are the lack of leadership within the association itself and the lack of support from local, canton and provincial authorities. Thanks to the development of the strengthening agenda, it was possible to corroborate that, through proper promotion and the insertion of the association within the social networks, it is possible to manage technical and material support that the women have stated they need
