The COVID-19 pandemic has generated radical changes in many spheres of human life, education being one of the most affected by the recurrent closure of educational institutions and the resounding change from face-to-face to virtuality. In this regard, various perceptions have been generated by educational actors about the teaching-learning processes received by children during virtual classes. The objective of this study was to describe the perceptions held by teachers and parents of the high school level regarding the teaching-learning processes under a virtual modality in the Julio María Matovelle Educational Unit during the 2021-2022 school year. A qualitative approach was used, with a phenomenological design; the techniques used were semi-structured interviews and a documentary review of the children's learning during the virtual and face-to-face education; 4 teachers and 8 parents from the morning and afternoon sessions participated; for reasons of confidentiality, their identities are kept confidential. Regarding the results, the perceptions of the teachers and parents were similar, they mentioned that virtual education was a difficult time for the teaching and learning of the children at the high school level, it affected them academically, personally, socially and emotionally. It is concluded that teachers and parents consider virtual education as an ineffective method to work with the children, and that it had a significant influence on everyone because it did not allow an integral development of the students as a face-to-face education would have done.
