    Prevalencia de vaginitis y vaginosis factores de riesgo e intervención educativa en mujeres de 18-50 años que acuden a consulta ginecológica del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, Cuenca, 2011-2012

    The descriptive study was to determine the prevalence of vaginitis and vaginosis and its possible association with various risk factors, was conducted in the Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Center, Faculty of Medical Sciences were studied 325 women from 18 to 50 years attending gynecological Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital in Cuenca, we assessed: production of amines, microscopic identification, yeasts, Trichomonas vaginalis, clue cells, and others. We obtained the following results: 30.5% for the vaginitis, yeast germs are responsible for 30.2% and 0.3% Trichomonas vaginalis, Gardnerella Vaginosis vaginalis20% and negative 49.5%. When results with the variables show statistical significance between Gardnerella vaginalis with vaginal discharge (p = 0.000), Lactobacillus (p = 0.000), bacteria (p = 0.000), WBC (p = 0.007), marital status (p = 0.041), contraception (p = 0.084), with vaginal yeast (p = 0.000), vaginal hygiene (p = 0.010), Trichomonas vaginalis was not statistically significant with any variable. Educational intervention was performed using a pre-test and post-test, in order to promote the prevention or decrease the risk of such infections. In conclusion, 50.5% of women studied have studied infection by these microorganisms.
