Item Automatización del proceso de despliegue de servicios en la nube(Universidad de Cuenca, 2016-11-16) Zuñiga-Prieto, Miguel; Solano-Quinde, Lizandro; Insfran, Emilio; Cabrera, YesseniaThe lack of standardization of the access methods and the management of resources in cloud environments hinders both, the portability of services between different cloud environments, and the agile deployment of services. In this context, it is important to reduce the deployment time in order to reduce the economic cost to organizations. The manuscript presents an approach for automating the deployment process of cloud services, by proposing a language that specifies the resource needs in cloud environments, in support to the logic of cloud services. The information about requirements is used for generating resource provisioning scripts and service configurations, both, specific to the deployment platform. Currently, the data collection is done manually, which means that PROMAS staff needs to go to the actual sensor location and download the data, which involves time invested and recurring costs for them. Therefore, in this work, a network design to automate the data collection and transfer is proposed. The goal is to get data with the lowest possible latency, so data is available as soon as information is generated. The proposed network transfers data using the standard IEEE 802.11 or IEEE 802.15.4, which involve the analysis of three fundamental parameters as distance, energy and deployment cost.Item Plataforma basada en ecgML para el estudio de las complicaciones cardiovasculares en el adulto mayor con síndrome metabólico(Universidad de Cuenca, 2015) Parra, Freddy; Andrade, Diana; Cruz, Julio; Solano-Quinde, Lizandro; Palacio-Baus, Kenneth; Encalada, Lorena; Wong, Sara; Universidad de Cuenca; Dirección de Investigación de la Universidad de Cuenca; DIUCThis research is part of DIUC- PROMETEO project Heart rate variability and insulin sensitivity in the elderly population of Cuenca. In this paper preliminary results of the development of a database for the study of metabolic syndrome and cardiac complications are shown. The main objective of this project is to integrate data collected on the project within an open framework. The proposed system is a flexible solution based on ecgML that can integrate different types of variables: ECG in SCP-ECG format, demographic, clinical, anthropometric and biochemical variables. Presently, the platform developed is used for the management of the multiparametric information of DIUC-PROMETEO project. Data from 180 elderly people have been registered. MS prevalence is close to 40%. From this population, 117 ECG records are available for cardiological studies.Item Plataforma para la búsqueda por contenido visual y semántico de imágenes médicas(Universidad de Cuenca, 2015) La Cruz, Alexandra; Tello, Andrés; Espinoza, Mauricio; Saquicela Galarza, Víctor Hugo; Gonzalez, Patricia; González, Patricia; Sarmiento, Yoredy; Ramírez-Montalván, Washintong; Solano-Quinde, Lizandro; Vidal, María-Esther; Universidad de Cuenca; Dirección de Investigación de la Universidad de Cuenca; DIUCThis paper present a framework ontology-independent for the automatic semantic annotation of medical images. The automatic annotation is done by (a) semantifying of DICOM medical images (RDF-ization) automatically; (b) Integration of different biomedical ontologies, through the matching process between ontologies and DICOM metadata, making this approach ontology-independent; (c) segmentation and visualization of annotated data which is further used to generate new annotations according to expert knowledge, and validation. Additionally applying context based image retrieval, make possible the retrieval of medical imaging by similarity of images features. This platform is being built on a distributed architecture, which improve the way of classification, distribution and searching on image repository.Item Sistema de anotación semiautomático de señales electrocardiográficas de esfuerzo(Universidad de Cuenca, 2016-11-16) Fajardo-Reinoso, Juan; Astudillo-Salinas, Darwin; Solano-Quinde, Lizandro; Wong, SaraDespite the availability of electrocardiographic (ECG) databases does the medical sector not yet possesses an annotated stress database. This paper introduces an annotation system using RR-time series obtained from an eight lead stress database (DICARDIA). First, the system proposes to the user a lead (reference channel) according to its statistical measures. The user then undergoes a visual inspection validating or denying the channel proposed by the system. Afterwards, the system proposes two options based on the quality of the RR-time series. If the series contains few artifacts the annotations are realized using the interval of annotations; in the case of noisy series the system allows annotations beat by beat. The preliminary results realized over 172025 beats (approximately 15% of DICARDIA database) give a sensibility and positive predictive value of 97.66% and 96.71% respectively. The system will permit the delineation of stress databases, which will be an important starting point for evaluating the performance of QRS detectors.
