    The purpose of this document is to present current situation of elite sportswomen in the media and capture it through three journalistic profiles. Women have historically been relegated to tasks imposed by gender roles. Through an experience journey told from an intimate perspective of the main actors, the details of the situation faced by elite female athletes in Ecuador are known. It explores the history of women in their beginnings of sport in the world, their appearance in the Olympic Games of Antiquity and how they gained ground in their reissue of modernity. How was his appearance in Ecuadorian and Cuenca sports and the gradual advance of his participation in sports disciplines within an Olympic cycle.
