(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-11-26) Sinchi Payana, Jenny Alexandra; Eljuri Jaramillo, María Isabel
Sayausí is a parish made up of natural and cultural resources, that is why, fulfilling the functions assigned to the Decentralized Autonomous Government of Sayausí, with regard to territorial, economic, social and tourist development of the parish, its President Martín Lucero, hereby has authorized the realization of the intervention project entitled “Inventory making of attractions in Sayausí parish, canton Cuenca, province of Azuay, through the methodology of the Ministry of Tourism 2018,” which aims to become a management tool in the tourism field. Therefore, the present intervention project has been carried out using the methodology proposed by the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador 2018, which specifies the criteria to be considered for the inventory making of tourist information, hierarchy and generation of tourist space in territory, with the aforementioned methodology it has been established that in the Sayausí parish there are 44 cultural and 16 natural attractions. Therefore, it is defined that Sayausí parish is a tourist area, containing stopover, distribution, and visitation centers, all this is due to its territorial extension with physical and geographical characteristics in conjunction with the infrastructure that it has.
