    La responsabilidad profesional de los médicos en el Ecuador

    In this research will be discussed: the origin of responsibility and obligations ie medical doctors throughout history in general and in our legislation the development of medical practice and regulation of sanctions, also the classification of responsibility and duties of doctors, patients, and obligations of intermediary bodies to determine liability and penalties that may be civil, criminal or administrative. Also it will introduce some concepts, differences between obligation and responsibility of physicians, the classification of the responsibility and duties of doctors will also be introduced. Second, a comparative analysis of the existing criminal codes in our legislation and other criminal laws as : Argentina, Chile and Spain, besides the constituent elements of the responsible physician will establish the concept of medical act, requirements of medical act and the difference between responsibility and malpractice. Third analyzing the different existing regulatory bodies in the Ecuador such as:the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, Integral Organic Penal Code, Civil Code, Law on Health and Code of Ethics of the National Medical Federation, just as classes, types and elements of the contract that will be handled between doctor and patient. And finally the ethics and ethics in general that medical professionals must observe in the exercise of their profession will be considered.
