    Estado nutricional y su relación con los estilos de vida en los profesionales de la salud que laboran en la Fundación Municipal de la Mujer y el Niño, noviembre 2021- abril 2022

    Background: Currently, healthy lifestyles play a very important role in maintaining an ade- quate nutritional status, as well as avoiding the development of chronic non-communicable diseases. Objective: To determine the relationship between nutritional status and lifestyles in health professionals who work at the Municipal Foundation for Women and Children, November 2021- April 2022. Methods: Cross-sectional analytical study, 96 people participated. To evaluate lifestyles, the Salazar and Arrivillaga questionnaire was applied, the assessment of nutritional status was carried out with anthropometry, dietary intake by frequency of food consumption and 24- hour recall. The data were entered into the statistical program SPSS STATISTICS V 21, for the analysis descriptive statistics were used as frequency and percentage, for association: prevalence ratio, with 95% CI, and for statistical significance Pearson's Chi Square. Results: 56.25% of the health personnel presented an unhealthy lifestyle, 44.79% are over- weight, and 12.5% are obese, 53.13% have a high waist/height index, 52.08% exceed the energy recommendation, in 54.72% of the population with unhealthy lifestyles are over- weight and 22.64% obese (p=0.000). Conclusions: In this study, a significant association was found between unhealthy lifestyles and nutritional status represented by BMI, waist-height index, and dietary intake.
