Item Hemorragia uterina anormal: correlación ecográfica-anatomopatológica en pacientes de 35 a 60 años del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso. Cuenca 2018.(2019-03-13) Sarango Lapo, Priscila Jazmín; Sarmiento Mogrovejo, Tatiana Patricia; Mejía Chicaiza, Jorge VictorianoBackground: Abnormal uterine bleeding (HUA) is defined as hemorrhage of the uterine body that is larger in volume, regularity, frequency (or all three) that has been present for the past six months (1). It affects between 10 and 30% of women of childbearing age and up to 50% of perimenopausal women (3), constituting 70% of the gynecological consultations during the peri and postmenopause (4). Overall objective: Correlate the ultrasound diagnosis with the histopathological result of the biopsies of women aged 35 to 60 years who attended the Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso during 2017 with abnormal uterine bleeding. Methodology: Retrospective, descriptive and correlational study. We used data from clinical histories, ultrasound results and biopsies of patients from the gynecology area of the Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso during the year 2017, were analyzed in relation to the nominal or numerical variables and processed through the SPSS program version 24.0 for Windows. Results: 105 cases were studied; the average age was 44.95 years with a higher frequency in women aged 45-49 years with 40%. The most frequent sonographic diagnosis was uterine myomatosis (57.1%) and the anatomopathological diagnosis leiomyomatosis (49.5%). There was a sonographic-anatomopathological correlation of 64.8%. Conclusion: the ultrasound has a high percentage of assertiveness with the standard gold that is the histopathology for the diagnosis of abnormal uterine hemorrhage.
