    Funcionalidad familiar y formas de recreación en adolescentes, del bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Guapán 2017

    Background: family functionality is a determining factor in the conservation of health, in the appearance of diseases and acquisition of values such as respect, responsibility, truthfulness, honesty, allowing the adoption of healthy habits as forms of recreation that promote mental health in adolescents. Objective: to determine the family functionality and ways of recreation of adolescents of the Educational unit “Guapán" 2017. Method and material: mixed type research, descriptive cross-sectional study; the universe formed by 150 adolescents, with a probabilistic sample of 108. The quantitative technique used was the interview, the qualitative the focus group respectively. The processing was done in SPSS version 22, the analysis was made with descriptive statistics through frequencies and percentages, tables and graphs; for the analysis of qualitative techniques Dialectic Hermeneutics was used. Results: the adolescent population of the Guapán Educational Unit is mainly female, 52%, with an average age of 16 years, 66.7% correspond to the population in adolescence, and 33.3% to the group in late adolescence. According to the criterion of cohesion, families are united 46.3%, separated 36.1%; in relation to adaptability, families are structured 38%, chaotic 32.4%, flexible 18.5% and rigid 11.1%, which affects the forms of recreation of adolescents with a tendency to sedentary lifestyle and drug use. Conclusion: the adolescent population of the Guapan Educational Unit present detached and chaotic families that have negatively influenced the forms of recreation
