    Estado de las prótesis parciales removibles realizadas en los pacientes atendidos en la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Cuenca en el periodo 2012-2015

    The current study had as an objective to determine the status of the partial removable prosthesis performed in patients cared for at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Cuenca during 2012-2015. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was done in a total of 78 patients who received removable partial denture treatment at our institution in the period 2012-2015, but this was reduced to a total of 43 patients who underwent this study. An analysis of the prosthetic state was performed based on the data obtained with the following variables: sex, age, and year of prosthesis, dental arch, Kennedy classification, occlusion, Presence of exogenous pigments and the presence of sub prosthetic stomatitis through a clinical examination prepared for the study. Results: The results of this study demonstrate that the prosthetic status in patients performed partial removable prostheses was: very good in 37.2%; Followed by regular prosthetic status in 34.9%; Good prosthetic condition in 20.9%; And finally bad prosthetic status by 7%. People in the age of 40-60 years had a very good prosthetic state, in this study there is a higher percentage of women, in the year 2015 the largest number of removable partial dentures was performed, the dental arcade Inferior was the more predominant than the superior, Kennedy's class I and II was found more frequently and in its great majority of patients we found absence of stomatitis, thus presenting a very good prosthetic state
