    Conocimiento de los métodos anticonceptivos de los/las estudiantes de la Escuela de Enfermería de la Universidad de Cuenca 2016

    BACKGROUND: In the School of Nursing at the University of Cuenca, mostly women are educated, several of which have been pregnant while enrolled in college. Often no question to it, as to why the presence of pregnancy and particularly in the year of internship, so it is necessary to identify the level of knowledge about contraceptive methods and their applicability in nursing students. To determine the knowledge about contraception in the / the students of the School of Nursing at the University of Cuenca. 2016 METHODOLOGY: an investigation was conducted descriptive and quantitative. We worked with a random sample of 88 students of the School of Nursing. We apply a survey conducted by the authors, prior informed consent. With the collected data tabulation conducted through the SPSS and results through charts and graphs. RESULTS: Through our research work applied to students of the University of Cuenca nursing career, we have determined that 100% of respondents aware of the usefulness of contraceptive methods. The contraceptive method most knowledgeable men and women is a condom with 36.36% and 12.5% respectively. In addition you can take into account that women have knowledge of various methods, unlike men who only know 3 types. In addition both men and women respond that they have acquired knowledge from their teachers this represents 47.72%
