Item Funcionalidad familiar y habilidades sociales en estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa Abelardo Tamariz Crespo de Cuenca, Ecuador en el periodo 2023- 2024(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-03-05) Santos Nagua, Tatiana Sthefany; Pugo Pulla, Joseline Estefanía; Guzmán Jiménez, Alfonsina del RocíoThe main purpose of this research is to describe the family functionality and social skills of the evaluated students of the Abelardo Tamariz Crespo Educational Unit in the period 2023-2024. The study adopted a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design and a descriptive scope. The population under study included a total of 100 students in the eighth, ninth and tenth grades of Basic General Education, belonging to the evening and morning sections, in the stages of early and middle adolescence. For data collection, two instruments were used: the FF-SIL, intended to determine the perception of family functioning, and the social skills evaluation scale, used to identify the types of social skills predominant in students. The results revealed the categorization of family functionality, highlighting that the one that predominates in the students is the moderately functional category. Regarding social skills, it will be observed that they are generally at a normal level; In the same way, among all dimensions, dimension VI prevails, referring to planning skills where they are at a normal level. Likewise, within a low level, dimension III, which encompasses skills related to feelings. Therefore, the need for the implementation in educational institutions of strategies and programs that comprehensively address the development of skills related to feelings in the student group.
