The sexuality of the elderly adult is a social construct influenced by various biopsychosocial factors, but that unfortunately, it does not have the relevance it requires. From this perspective, it is proposed as the objective of the present investigation to analyze the socio-cultural factors that affect the sexuality of the adult population greater beneficiary of the "My golden years" project of the Paradial GAD of Sayausí. The methodology was based on a qualitative investigation with a phenomenological type approach and a descriptive scope; For the uprising of the information, the techniques were started, the interview at 20 older adults (10 men and 10 women) through a semi-structured question guide that was applied through the home visit; and the history of life, collecting information through a question guide made to a greater adult couple (husbands). The instruments were socialized and authorized by the local authority. For the data processing, the Atlas Ti program was used. As relevant results of the investigation, it is determined that the needs of love / belonging and esteem are directly related to the development and quality of life of the older adult; The authoritarian breeding style influences the perception of older adults on how to live their sexuality; Sociocultural constructs reinforce the myths and beliefs that the older person is a unusual being, which causes the conduct, individual, family and social devaluation.
