Inconsistent use of condoms can lead to transmission because transmission can occur with a single sexual act. Similarly, if condoms are not used properly, their protective effect may decrease even be used constantly. Objective: To determine the prevalence of condom use among sex workers attended in the Health Area 4 "Carlos Elizalde". Yanuncay, Cuenca. Methodology: A descriptive study in which participated 118 sex workers met in 2016 in the health center "Carlos Elizalde", the research was conducted through surveys. Results: the prevalence of condom use in all sexual relations was 70.3%; the average age of onset in sex work was about 18 years. An average number of daily customers of 20.
