Background: During childhood there are various factors that will condition, in a great way, neuromotor development in the future. Psychomotor development is the progressive acquisition of skills and functional abilities, which are linked to the maturation of brain structures, as a continuous process, whose sequence is similar in all children although it can be develop at different passes (1). Objective: determine the age of children development from the Children's Centers of Buen Vivir Paccha, Bloqueritos, Joyita and Santa Ana de San Joaquín Cuenca 2018. Methodology: A Quantitative-Descriptive-Transversal study was carried out to determine the age of development among boys and girls of the Children's Centers of Buen Vivir Paccha, Bloqueritos, Joyita and Santa Ana de San Joaquín, relating the age of development with variables such as: age, gender and institution. The data was analyzed and tabulated through IBM SPSS Statistics software, afterwards the results were presented using tables and percentages. Results: Our research, according to the Battelle Development Inventory, determined that the male gender with 66.7% had a global development age lower than the chronological age, presenting greater difficulties in psychomotor development than in the female gender. Meanwhile the range of age that presents major development difficulties corresponds to the range of 36 - 47 months. With regard to the Children's Centers of Buen Vivir, Bloqueritos, has a higher percentage of children with development problems.
