    Cuidado de enfermería a pacientes con traumatismo craneoencefálico del área de cirugía del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, Cuenca 2013

    The purpose of this research is aimed at determining the nursing care provided to patients with "Traumatic Brain Injury." in the surgery área of “Vicente Corral Moscoso” Hospital, during the period from April to June of 2013. The research method used was “Descriptive method” It will let us know the actions and attitudes prevalent through the exact description of activities and processes applied by professional nursing staff, and the cross-sectional method we used to measure the prevalence and TCE exposure in that area of health. Data collection was made by interviewing, in which we applied a structured screening form and a survey used by open questions. Objetives of study were previously explained of and made a commitment to respect confidentiality Pof results. Research results are presented through graphs: simple bar with absolute and relative frequencies (percentages) to visualize better the type of TCE, causes, age at which it is presented and the type of care provided to patients by the Nursing professional staff. According to data obtained in this investigation and according to the degree of efficiency and effectiveness, the Nursing Care Process is at a medium level since a large group of nurses PAE applied incorrectly and without scientific basis.
